Candidates must have documented experience as an instructional coach in a K-12 environment and expertise at facilitating professional learning sessions for teachers and /or leaders.

Candidates must have experience as teacher leader, K-12 building level principal or district/central office instructional leader. In addition, all candidates must have documented experience as an Instructional Coach for core instruction in a K-12 environment. Passion for the work should be evident in their approach to self-learning and the learning of others.

Ready to Travel:As an IE faculty member, you must be prepared to travel an average of 3 weeks per month for 3-4 days per week on overnight trips to deliver services in schools. You may be assigned to a partner school anywhere in the country for onsite work. Your geographic home base does not determine your assignment. You will be responsible for the adult learning and the successful implementation of the learning. When not delivering services in your partner schools, you will work from your home office on planning, preparation and monitoring for results. The work may also include virtual sessions with your partner schools.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Learn the IE scope of work including research-based tools, strategies and metrics
  • Facilitate professional learning sessions for teachers/leaders
  • Provide implementation coaching to teacher/leaders
  • Implement research-based model of school support that includes root cause analysis, strategic planning, and coaching to action
  • Communicate progress of implementation to internal and external stakeholders through multiple means of communication including written data reports, onsite and virtual discussions and presentations.
  • Complete appropriate documentation related to implementation efforts and ensure collection of research data as specified by project needs
  • Participate in communities of practice to update and hone skills.

Required Experience:

  • Teacher Leader, School Principal, or Central Office Instructional Leadership
  • Minimum 5 years as a K-12 educator in the previous 10 years
  • Expert professional learning facilitator
  • Documented experience in School Improvement work.
  • Experience in instructional coaching for teachers and/or leaders.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory
  • Extensive experience in using data to inform instructional decisions
  • Proven ability to integrate technology tools to improve outcomes
  • Preference for those candidates who have worked in state accountability identified turnaround schools.

IMPORTANT: Please Note: Faculty/Leadership Coaches will be assigned to a partner school inside the contiguous United States. Successful candidates will not be required to relocate. Travel to the assignment to fulfill the contract is provided. Extensive travel may be required.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000
