Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Part-Time (20hrs per week) Security Onboarding Specialist . This position will be a Fully Remote position.
Responsibilities
Solicit onboarding documents from new personnel, work with the personnel to submit accurate documents and archive using the VA’s tools (i.e., SharePoint, ePASS, TMS or other).
Submit onboarding requests in the VA’s onboarding system to establish network accounts and request government furnished equipment (GFE, PIV)
Monitor onboarding adjudication status, network account requests, PIV status, and escalate risk issues with the COR
Track and report status of onboarding and onboarding, cumulative personnel, cumulative counts of personnel, GFE issue counts, and PIV card status on a recurring basis. Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly yearly, or ad hoc
Create an onboarding checklist for new employees
Create and conduct new employee orientation presentations
Submit offboarding requests or relocation of employees and contractors in conjunction with VA policies
Support PMO operations by delivering communications messages regarding operations topics such as timesheets, holidays, all hands announcements.
Support archiving processes for all contract deliverables.
Support PMO directors ad hoc as required to support contract operations analysis and reporting, communications.
Develop succinct presentations and visualizations based on complex information using PowerPoint.
Prepare, coordinate, manage and lead program briefings and reports when required.
Maintaining databases and electronic filing systems including MS Teams, SharePoint, and Excel documents.
Managing all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects, providing a single point of contact for those projects.
Assist in defining and implementing project metrics for scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related scientific or technical discipline is required with A total of 5 years professional experience required. An additional 8 – 10 years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Analytical Thinking – Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business.
Effective Communications – Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors; ability to effectively write/technical writing; and ability to translate technical approaches and methodologies.
Tools – Able to use project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, MS Teams, SharePoint, and capacity models.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance with Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range
USD $35.00 – USD $42.00 /Hr.
