Job Description

The Sr Director, Financial Systems, will lead a team and directly support the finance organization through a multi-year effort to transform and modernize the organizations’ ERP system and processes. This role will provide oversight and leadership among all finance leaders, finance process owners, and external technology partners, across finance transformational projects. This role is important for transforming the financial systems ecosystem to optimize processes and enhance data into insights that inspire decision-making and support business objectives related to timely and accurate financial planning, internal financial reporting, treasury functions and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the transformation and optimization of all critical financial systems.

  • Assess and develop a long-term ERP solution to meet the needs of an evolving business

  • Lead implementation of ERP strategic plan, partnering with other stakeholders on the execution and delivery of desired end state

  • Through collaboration of key finance stakeholders, ensures alignment of current and future financial organizational goals.

  • Lead the design and architecture of processes and systems within the financial ecosystem, recommending technology or other process enhancements to optimize financial performance, strengthen controls, reduce risk, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve quality.

  • Lead and manage projects within the finance systems development life cycle; review, clarify, and/or test deliverables; work with the Finance team to define requirements, conduct needs analysis, determine project specifications, identify solutions, and implement recommendations.

  • Manage third party relationships as it relates to financial systems applications and support.

  • Build and develop a team as we scale.

  • Develop and foster a culture of continuous improvement, working with direct reports to provide guidance and direction on process and system improvements to support future growth.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 10 years of progressive work experience leading/managing diverse teams across finance, systems management, etc.

  • 8 years of leadership/people management experience

  • Direct experience leading a financial ERP implementation

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of financial system economics and financial levers

  • Experience assessing, developing future state recommendations and implementing ERP and reporting systems

  • Ability to establish rapport, build relationships, and collaborate effectively across departments and at all levels within the organization.

  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to lead and drive change.

  • Proven experience inspiring cross-functional teams to meet business objectives with outstanding results.

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and consultative skills; demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or related area of study

  • Broad experience across finance systems including Hyperion, ERP/SAP, Workday, etc.

  • Previous PBM or healthcare experience

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to AVP – financial systems

Potential pay for this position ranges from $144,000.00 – $230,200.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
