The Providence Development Program is a program that will offer the opportunity to work in four different job assignments within Communication. Each assignment will last for a period of six months, opportunities offered fall within the below listed job functions:

  • Internal Communication

  • Social Media

  • Public Relations

  • Brand

This program is designed to provide each individual the opportunity to have in-depth development experiences across a range of business areas. Each specific job assignment will provide an opportunity to maximize your learning and development and will give you access to a variety of training and activities.

To qualify for this program you must meet the following criteria:

  1. A college student at a 4 year College who will be graduating between December 2023 – June 2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas of study:

  2. Communication

  3. Public Relations

  4. Marketing

  5. Business Administration

  6. Another related field of study

  7. GPA Requirement: 3.2 or Higher

  8. Demonstrated Analytical, Leadership and Problem Solving Skills

  9. Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills

This is a two year program that will run between July 2024 and June 2026. Upon completion of the program, participants are eligible to apply for regular full time opportunities within Providence.

Providence is calling a Communication Specialist who will be given the opportunity to experience a variety of job functions within Communication.

Job duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support organization-wide programs and initiatives

  • Play a key role in supporting organization and region-based communication efforts

  • Work closely with leaders and fellow caregivers on the communication team to support communication programs and messaging across the continuum of the multi-state Providence organization

  • Supports communication strategy, planning and execution for the following: Large-scale organizational initiatives, Region-based communication initiatives and teams, Ongoing operational teams and projects, Organizational and community events

  • Works closely with Communication leaders and teams, as well as other organizational leaders and teams across the Providence organization in support of communication initiatives

Please note the following important details:

  • This posting is for multiple openings of a Communication Specialist

  • We welcome 100% remote work for residents who reside in the following areas:

  • Washington: Puget Sound Region

  • California: Orange County

  • You will be required to report to the office two times per month as scheduled by department needs and local to your primary site

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or another related field of study

  • 2+ years of experience supporting broad-based and successful communication teams and programs

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience working in highly matrixed and geographically dispersed organizations and teams

  • Communication experience in health care

  • Experience in a faith-based health system/organization

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
