Feonix is hiring a CPA who will work remotely with our team across the US.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Public Accountant to join our team. As a CPA, you will play a crucial role in providing financial expertise and guidance for our team. Your knowledge of non-profit or… government accounting, payroll, account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and vendor regulations will be essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. If you are detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and possess a deep understanding of financial acumen, we would love to hear from you.

Duties

– Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

– Conduct audits to ensure financial records are accurate and comply with regulations

– Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

– Provide financial review and audit planning and preparation for Single Audit

– Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies or errors

– Prepare monthly invoices for federal, state, and foundation grants

– Prepare bi-weekly payments to transportation providers and volunteer drivers

– Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement

– Stay up-to-date with changes in Omni-circular laws and regulations to ensure compliance for grants and contracts

– Provide guidance on non-profit finance strategies and assist with financial forecasting

Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

– Strong knowledge of non-profit and government accounting principles and practices

– Proficiency in payroll processing and account reconciliation

– Experience with general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation

– Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex financial data

– Familiarity with laws and regulations for both corporate and non-profit/government organizations

– Ability to perform cash flow analysis and develop effective strategies for managing finances

– Understanding of non-profit finance principles and the ability to provide strategic guidance

– Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

– Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

– Knowledge of fund accounting to maintain accurate and auditable records

– Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects

– Skill in providing guidance and direction to various stakeholders

– Expert ability to use MS Office to create spreadsheets, graphs, and draft word documents (such as budget narratives)

– Experience using QuickBooks Online
