Requirements:

  • Experience managing/implementing VMware virtualization and storage utilization. The position will be key in providing technical direction and responsible for helping build and maintain new and existing VMware environments.
  • 7 or more years Windows System Administration experience, including Server 2012 and 2016, configuring domain information utilities, such as Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
  • Industry certifications from leading vendors a plus (VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, Dell EMC, etc.)
  • Experience presenting technical information to customers, clients and/or internal audiences.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and applications.
  • Must have the ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills and must be able to convey her or his ideas in a manner that is convincing to others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow the ability to work with a variety of clients and administrative staff, and the professional presence and demeanor to represent the IT department.
  • Team player
  • Strong work ethic and flexibility to meet the demands of the position; could be up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage various File, Application, Exchange and Citrix servers.
  • Install and maintain server software and hardware.
  • Execute planning and coordination of future system installations and upgrades. Will mentor and train System Engineers and Helpdesk personnel. Will design and implement system architectures.
  • Will work in an open environment where frequent and direct interaction and collaboration with customers and peers is ordinary.
  • Handle complex and/or escalated systems issues.
  • Provide a high level of internal customer support to all on-site and remote office users.
