We are looking for an experienced Brand Manager to build a direct to consumer strategy for Surya and our diffusion brands. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated success in leading complex projects & teams, proven organizational agility, and the ability to work effectively through an influence model at all levels of the organization. In this role, you must be skilled at obtaining senior management and cross-team alignment, be able to frame complex business issues and drive decisions, develop and get buy-in on plans to execute against these decisions, and work cross-team to ensure that plans are executed successfully. You will need to be a strong advocate for design and partner well with other disciplines to deliver impact. You will be data-driven and most importantly customer-obsessed.

Hybrid: Mon-Wed in office Thurs-Fri Option to work remote

Are you able to:

  • The Brand Manager will set brand strategy, influence functional tactics, and drive the operationalization of bringing the plans to fruition
  • Ensure brand consistency and deep understanding of the customer, competitive and marketing landscape
  • Manage a significant brand & creative budget designed to deliver specific brand awareness and engagement platforms
  • Find new collaboration opportunities with licensees, influencers, retailers, and content creators
  • Effectively manage brand strategy through partner agencies, including drafting strategic and creative briefs, establishing objectives, and providing ongoing guidance
  • Onboard new product lines; overseeing contract negotiations, product development, and product launch
  • Effectively analyze results of initiatives then use those findings to influence future strategies and report performance to leaders
  • Stay on the cutting edge of home décor trends to seed new ideas

Qualifications for the Brand Manager:

  • 5+ years of work experience in brand and creative with a strong focus on brand strategy, creative development, operations, and execution
  • Ability to present both high level and tactical plans to internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Experience developing multi-channel creative campaigns (TV, Digital, Social, experiential, etc), including asset management
  • The Brand Manager must have experience managing outside agencies and working with influencers
  • Experience influencing horizontally and vertically is key; managing people / leading teams is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver high-quality written and verbal content
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced setting without ready-made processes
  • Effective C-level communication skills
  • Tenured account management skills that include negotiation and relationship building
