Our team covers a variety of responsibilities that are executed by DevSecOps, Site Reliability and ML Ops Engineers, including:

-Defining standard release automation patterns for infrastructure and application components

-Defining standard CI/CD pipeline patterns that include a common set of DevOps and SecOps tools

-Developing reports and metrics to validate existing and new pipelines use standard DevSecOps tools

-Proactive optimization of redundancies, monitoring and alerting practices and patterns

-Developing resilient and highly available cloud patterns -Controlling and executing the promotion of code through all environments

-Infrastructure as Code development for buildout cloud infrastructure -Building and Releasing pipeline development

-Secrets and configuration management

-Monitoring systems and services, providing incident and emergency response to triage and resolve system or client issues

-Management of the application ecosystem improving platform infrastructure and applications with high reliability, resiliency, performance and quality

-Supporting documentation, knowledge articles, and runbooks

-Designing, building and Implementing devops patterns that adhere to PwC’s security guidelines and policies.

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success supporting DevOps implementations, transformations and engineering including the following areas:

  • Using tools like Azure DevOps/VSTS, validate requirements, deploy, and troubleshoot deployments of code and technologies in stage and production environments;
  • Demonstrating leadership, influencing and communication skills, as well as the ability to drive continuous performance improvements with the stakeholders, vendors and technology subject matter specialists;
  • Building, maintaining and controlling stage and production environments;
  • Troubleshooting complex issues in stage and production application & infrastructure environments;
  • Establishing proactive monitoring and alerting capabilities for all components of the platform using system monitoring tools such as Datadog, SignalFX, etc.;
  • Establishing system health and capacity requirements as needed to enhance new and existing offerings;
  • Documenting SOPs, and performing knowledge transfer to others;
  • Leading and driving to completion management initiatives across a global DevOps team;
  • Demonstrating fluency in at least two development languages such as Java, Perl, PHP or Python;
  • Experience managing Azure, AWS, GCP or distributed VMware environments;
  • Demonstrating knowledge of one or more container technologies and orchestration such as Docker & Kubernetes and at least two database technologies such as MongoAtlas, MySQL, MS-SQL, or Postgresql;
  • Working with code management tooling such as Github / Gitlab;
  • Working with CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployments;
  • Possessing experience with Linux and Windows administration;
  • Experience with HashiCorp tool set i.e Terraform, Consul etc.;
  • Understanding of SRE concepts and practices and experience implementing them in enterprise environments to stable, reliable, secure and high performing data platform;
  • Using knowledge and experience with chaos engineering tools and practices to improve environment resiliency;
  • Working knowledge and a foundation in the basics around how to operate and secure: web servers, databases, systems and configuration management;
  • Working with networking, load balancing, clustering and firewall/security group security concepts;
  • Thinking creatively, and possessing problem solving skills and individual initiative;
  • Communicating in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats including delivering clear requests for information and communicating potential conflicts;
  • Contributing to a positive working environment by building relationships with team members;
  • Seeking guidance, clarification and feedback proactively;
  • Providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less-experienced staff; and,
  • Demonstrating experience with automation/configuration mgmt. using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent.
