Job Description
Our Saatchi LA & Dallas offices are looking for college seniors and recent graduates who are eager to learn and gain experience with real client work at an agency! Saatchi’s Summer Internship is a paid 8-week hybrid program from June 17th to August 9th with an opportunity for 4-day work week, providing lessons from various departments at an agency, opportunity to work alongside and gain mentorship from advertising professionals and leaders, in addition to working on real client work.
As an intern, we expect you to give us your energy, enthusiasm, and thirst for knowledge, and we’ll give you a hands-on, insider introduction to working at this advertising agency! More than just a resume-builder, our internship program will challenge your expectations, broaden your horizons, and show you why advertising is our passion and why we live to influence popular culture. As an Intern – Production, Virtual Garage , here’s what you’ll do:
Handle inventory and catalog of current CG assets with team supervision (accessories, environments, etc.)
Testing upcoming Software Updates: Maya, Unreal, Substance, etc.
Assemble “Wireframe Requests” with team supervision: Packaging 3D Vehicle data for CGI production
Research Unreal Engine related topics with the team
Support the research of Tessellaton and Decimation tools
Research and documenting of AR/VR/XR related topics
Work with the Virtual Garage team to make updates and optimizations to internal SmartSheets tracking tools
Work with the Producer to update existing processes and education decks
UI updates to internal tools (only if candidate has programming skills)
Qualifications
We are looking for interns who possess a problem-solving mentality, have leadership and collaborative qualities, and express curiosity within and beyond their role and team. We encourage you to apply if you have:
Experience using Autodesk Maya
Experience with Vray and Arnold Render Engines
Experience using Unreal Engine for games, VFX, manufacturing or Architecture & Visualization is preferred
Knowledge of CGI concepts including Modeling, Texturing, Shading, Lighting, Rendering
Knowledge of Graphics, Design and Technology Trends including: AR/VR/XR, AI, other emerging technologies is desired
Experience with CAD software, NURBS and Modeling tools like Zbrush, Mudbox is a plus
Experience in Python, MEL or Unreal Blueprint programming is a plus
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point/Keynote and MS Project
SmartSheets experience desired but not required
Capable of interacting with a cross-functional design team and collaborating closely with specialists and technical experts
Capacity to learn, grow, and improve on feedback as necessary
Excellent organization and time management to prioritize workload and multi-task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solve
Attention to detail
Ability to build strong relationships with internal team members
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education
Rising college/university senior or 2024 graduates with/working towards a degree in Computer Graphics, Animation, Computer Science
Previous internships are a plus but not required

Compensation Range: $15.38 – $22.36/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
