Position:  Data Governance Analyst (Permanent, Part Time)
Data Analyst, Governance, Quality, BI – J12768 – Birmingham Hybrid/3-day week in office essential! Salary up to £42000

Are you excited about data! Do you want to join a team who are growing and developing a data driven culture? We are looking for a Data Analyst to help build effective relationships within the company and support the development of a Centre of Excellence for Information and Data Quality. The Data Analyst will be responsible for identifying and analysing erroneous and incomplete data, communicating their findings to both the Data Quality Forum and operational teams.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for ensuring data quality issues are tackled in a timely and appropriate fashion

The role

• Utilising specialist property related systems and Power

BI to identify erroneous and incomplete data as well as propose methods to enhance operational data through system enhancements or modifications

• Ensure operational data maintained by engaging with Data Owners and Stewards to correct and update erroneous and incomplete data

• Report to regular Data Quality forum on system data accuracy, high-priority risks, and trends to feed into process changes

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of any new legislation relating to Social Housing operations to uphold accurate and relevant operational data

• Ability to formulate Power

BI reports to assist in monitoring of data quality across operational teams, categories and systems

• Provide detailed reports e.g. operational area data accuracy, specific attributes, components as required to assist in effective management of the organisation’s data to assist in strategic asset management decisions.

Skills/Experience

• HND/Degree level or equivalent and significant experience in undertaking a Data Analyst or Data Quality Officer role.

• Experience of working in a process-oriented environment dependent on accuracy and attention to detail

• Experience of presenting analysis and findings to a technical and non-technical audience using Power BI

• Strong track record for delivering data quality improvements at pace

• Advanced Excel and sound working knowledge of using Microsoft office packages and other databases and email.

• Experience of process improvement and strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering

• Experience of Data Quality Management and Data Governance

• Highly analytical, numerate and an ability to communicate confidently and clearly with great writing skills
