Job description: Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Solutions Architect to join a federal program supporting a government agency’s efforts. The Solutions Architect will be performing 100% permanently remote work but must be located within the US and able to work during Eastern standard business hours.

Responsibilities of the Solutions Architect include:

· Evaluating technology fit, providing potential alternatives via analysis of competitive landscape and leading proofs of concepts (POC), proofs of technology (POT), prototype creation and architectural spikes

· Working with developers and other internal teams to build cutting-edge services in Azure and other cloud technologies from the ground-up

· Providing technical/architectural consultation, system integration, system architecture development/review, road mapping, DevOps and Code reviews

· Assisting in the development of cloud infrastructures

· Advising project teams on project implementation approach, defining artifacts, building quality (testing strategy), performance engineering, sizing and deployment strategy

Qualifications for the Solutions Architect include:

· Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance

· 4-8+ total years of Solutions Architecture, Systems Architecture or Software Architecture Experience

· Ability to manage complex project teams & lead numerous modernization initiatives

· Familiarity with working in an agile development methodology

· Experienced with SaaS/PaaS

· Experienced with Cloud Platforms or Cloud Architecture – Azure is preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in an IT field

Compensation for the Solutions Architect include:

· Salary Range: $138,000 – $155,000 **depending on experience**
