The Local Sales Excellence Senior Manager leads and manages initiatives that drive efficient sales processes, strategic alignment, and continuous improvement. This role involves overseeing multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and utilizing innovative technologies to enhance sales effectiveness. The senior manager ensures consistency in sales activities, adapts to changes, and fosters a growth-oriented approach through market research and targeted customer strategies. Additionally, they play a key role in supporting the VP, Local Sales Excellence in identifying and defining new initiatives that drive key results.

This position is virtual/remote which means the work can be completed from anywhere is the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and execute Sales Workstream Initiatives – serving as an initiative owner or project manager from design to deployment

  • Keep stakeholders informed about project progress and changes.

  • Effectively communicate project objectives, status, and outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure transparency and clarity in all project-related communications.

  • Monitor and measure post-deployment performance, gathering data for assessment and necessary adjustments.

  • Collaborate with various teams during the initiative design process, ensuring a cohesive approach to achieving sales objectives.

  • Continuously improve sales processes and sales routines for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Leverage technology solutions to streamline sales processes and enhance efficiency.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: Sales initiative Workstream Leaders and cross-functional teams, Workstream Sponsors, Transformation Office, Change Management, Learning & Development, I&A, Strategy, Area Commercial Leaders, and Field Operations

  • External: Customers, Vendors, and External Consultants

WORK ENVIRONMENT (Select one)

  • Remote : This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7 years of business, HR, talent management, experience design, organizational effectiveness, change management, consulting, marketing, sales, or other relevant experience

  • Experience leading projects that require coordination across team boundaries in large, multi-function, cross-geographic, matrixed organizations

  • Experience designing and executing sales strategies, considering market dynamics and business objectives

  • Experience identifying, establishing, implementing, and sharing best practices in sales environments

  • Strong communication skills including ability to design and deliver compelling presentations that influence all levels of the organization

  • Strong change management skills to ensure successful field deployment of initiatives and best practices

  • Proficient in identifying challenges, developing solutions, and adapting strategies to address changing market conditions

  • 25% of overnight travel

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, human resources, talent management, project management, organizational effectiveness, experience design, or other relevant field required

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Food service or food distribution experience highly preferred

  • Understanding of sales processes with demonstrated field sales or sales leadership experience is highly preferred

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Standard required physical activities including length of time performing each activity.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $102,500 and $136,700. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $122,000 and $162,700. In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $115,900 and $154,500. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $115,900 and $154,500. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
