Job Summary:

The Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Departments are multi-discipline organizations responsible for designing, building and integrating state of the art testing environments (flight simulators for missiles), as the last step before flight test. As an Electrical Engineer, you will work with weapon system designers, to understand requirements, design solutions, integrate, and deploy the systems to help support tactical software development, testing, and delivery for missiles to the warfighter.

This position is focused on, but not limited to, the design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of advanced C++ software to operate missile flight simulators.

  • Prioritizing and handling multiple tasks in a production environment
  • Demonstrating solid troubleshooting skills
  • Working within an engineering team environment
  • Utilizing written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Developing requirements for software products

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field of study (CS, engineering, Math, or Physics) and at least five (5) years of prior relevant experience (post BS degree) OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM field of study (post MS degree), OR a PhD in a STEM field and advanced academic experience developing Object oriented C++ software.
  • Advanced experience with multi-threaded and parallel processing Object-Oriented C++ designs.
  • Experience developing C++ with Linux (Red Hat is preferred) and designing C++ to run in a real-time environment.
  • Experience with the development and integration of software drivers for the operation of computer hardware interfaces. Knowledge in common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422.
  • Experience with GIT and QT
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Also, due to the nature of our business, remote work is not possible.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Working knowledge of computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques.
  • Experience with laboratory test instrumentation.
  • Experience using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design. Familiarity with IBM Rhapsody or Cameo System Modeler and Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
  • Familiarity of software development lifecycles, such as Agile. Familiarity of Software Configuration Management principles. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server.
  • The ability to perform up to 20% business travel.
