One of the largest healthcare companies in the US is looking for a Mainframe Storage Analyst to sit remote for their team. This person will be responsible for working with IBM technology to monitor storage pools, data migrations, and responding to requests from Application Team partners. It is imperative that the individual has the ability to work within a large storage environment and across multiple teams while implementing best practices. Skills and Requirements

· Maintain and manage multi-vendor mainframe z/OS Disk & Tape environments

 · Leverage various storage management products/utilities

 · Perform storage monitoring/tuning for performance and capacity

 · Develop and deploy best practice solutions in alignment with business requirements

 · Provide support for complex technical and operational issues, driving problem resolution through root cause determination

 · Produce control evidence for various audit inquiries

 · Interact with hardware and software vendors to plan and implement z/OS storage upgrades

 · Work effectively within Change and Problem Management structures

 · Engage in the development and execution of continuity and recovery plans

 · Participate in the on-call rotation · Effective communication and team skills with an ability to cooperate, present to and participate with peers/team members

 · Able to work on multiple projects concurrently, collaboratively, within a team environment

 · Experience with IBM and Dell/EMC storage disk and tape solutions.

 · Experience with data replication management solutions including GDPS, GDDR, and the various mirroring methodologies

 · Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting

 · Experience in SMP/e and z/OS software lifecycle management

 · Experience with mainframe automation products

 · Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
