What does success look like?

The Brand and Creative Services Director takes the lead to elevate the brand story and develop creative product detail page content, storefront/website design, ads, email campaigns and style guides that inspire and amplify our brand story to increase conversion rates on the product detail pages and increase overall product sales.

You develop the creative needs for each product including but not limited to the product main image, secondary product images, product video, & Enhanced brand content on Amazon. You determine the needs for marketing campaigns such as PPC ads, SMS & email campaigns. You then lead a design team to complete projects. You understand eCommerce marketing best practices and are very skilled at product content design.

Most important of all, you genuinely care about the quality of your work, because it’s ultimately your work that goes out into the world, while establishing and maintaining the Hadley Designs reputation. You are obsessed with innovating and continually pushing beyond the boundaries of traditional e-commerce content strategies, always looking for the best way to increase conversion rates for our products, storefronts & ad campaigns.

A day in the life of a Brand and Creative Services Director could include:

  • Reimagining the brand and creative design vision, goals and priorities
  • Leading the creative content development for a new product
  • Leading brainstorming sessions with creative teams/agencies/stakeholders
  • Presenting new ideas for storefront design, product videos & ad campaigns
  • Defining and documenting the brand guidelines and brand strategy
  • Supervising, pushing, and encouraging creative team
  • Overseeing daily tasks tied to creative production
  • Troubleshooting issues that could slow down the process
  • Suggesting changes to workflows to improve efficiencies and cut costs
  • Presenting drafts to stakeholders
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team of photographers, designers, and creative operations teams across the globe
  • Collaborate with marketing, copywriters, and other design disciplines within and external to the org.
  • Manage and execute cross-functional responsibilities including graphic design, copywriting, brand-marketing strategy and development and in the strategic development of messages and deliverables
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with the creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address marketing goals and challenges
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling digital experiences for our potential customers
  • Present, or oversee the presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in leading branding and creative design strategies, projects and campaigns in B2B and B2C
  • Strong portfolio of successful brand and creative design campaigns
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing, creative arts/ graphic design
  • Extensive proficiency in creating brand projects from soup to nuts – inspiration, identity, color palette, typography, iconography, grid design, imagery and messaging
  • A maverick to challenge the status quo with bold design concepts and distinct brand enhancements
  • Strong writing and communication skills to develop new storyboards for inspiring brand and design projects
  • Experience in working with video production and photography studios
  • Passionate about new digital and graphic design concepts and constantly pioneering new ways of brand evolution and inspiration
  • Previous experience leading a cross-functional organization in executing projects from ideation to completion
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and operate in a fast-paced, high-growth professional environment
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones as required
  • Advanced skills with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) and MS Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel); video editing, Analytics, Project Management and social media marketing tools
  • Comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • High level of personal accountability
  • History of “owning” the job and never ever giving the job back
  • Knowledge on the use of ClickUp (or similar project management tool)
