Job Description
As a Casualty Claims Manager, you will be responsible for independently analyzing and comparing data to formulate goals and reports. You will be required to have 3 or more years of Commercial Claims leadership experience. In addition, this is a work from home position leading a remote team.
Responsibilities:
Provides direction to claim adjusters on all aspects of claim handling (investigation, evaluation, damages, etc.), submits monthly reports detailing unit activity and results to line of business director and senior claims management as requested.
Responsible for claims unit personnel functions, including recruitment, selection, promotion, and performance management.
Build and maintain relationships with sales management and agency customers.
Takes ownership, is accountable and sets an example for the department and team by:

Completing and submitting timely performance reviews.
Promoting corporate rewards and recognition programs.
Coaching, mentoring and developing GuideOne’s future leaders.
Loss assignment processing and pre-assignment instructions to adjusters
Assist in the management of Reserve Development Program, identifies possible problem areas and initiates process improvement initiatives.
Reviews procedures for compliance with state regulations and Company standards, researches coverage and legal issues.
Knowledge of computer and software (Claims specific and Office Suite).
Compare data to formulate and prepare, long range goals, and reports.
Complete continuing education for licensing.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of leadership experience in a commercial lines casualty claims position.
Recommended Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Demonstrates the ability to use commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the claims and management fields.
Complete formal training plan and assignments as required.
Advanced mathematical calculations/problems (formulas, percentages, spreadsheets, etc.).
Demonstrates leadership experience and presentation skills.
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards.
Proven experience with Microsoft Office. Formulate and prepare complex reports, spreadsheets and budgets using Excel and Access programs. Design PowerPoint presentations.
CPCU, AIC certifications a plus.
Compensation:
$91,800 – $153,000 commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility
$101,100 – $168,500 commensurate with experience in CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, and PA, plus bonus eligibility
*The successful candidate will initially be hired as an employee of GuideOne Insurance Company and automatically become an employee of TMG on the company’s official transition date.
