Essentia Health REMOTE – Database Administrator I, II, III, or Senior (1.0 FTE) in Duluth, Minnesota

Job Description:

Works with DBA II/III/Senior department staff to design, develop and administer database systems with low range of scale and complexity; administers operation service levels, systems availability, assist DBA II/III/Lead with capacity planning, and systems organization functions relating to databases; follow DBA II/III/Lead recommendations for data security and backup/recovery specifications and procedures; coordinates installation of new/revised systems; assist with planning studies; and may participate in project management activities. Requires strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate technology concepts to an audience that may not have a technical background. Requirements (minimum): Bachelors degree in computer science, data processing or related field. -OR- Associates degree in computer science, data processing or related field plus 2 years of related experience. -OR- 4 years of related experience. DBA/Back-end maintenance experience preferred.

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
