Position:  Data Quality Assurance Analyst (Contract)

60 are working with a global airline who are looking for an experienced Data Quality Assurance Analyst to join their artificial intelligence (AI) division on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on data quality role, with proficiency in Excel and SQL required.

Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the airline’s data assets. You will work closely with various departments across the business to identify and address data quality issues, implement data quality standards, and develop processes to maintain a high level of data integrity.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess data quality using profiling techniques and identify data inconsistencies, errors, and missing values.
  • Designing and executing comprehensive data validation strategies, including data profiling, data cleansing, and data transformation, to identify and rectify data quality issues.
  • Cleanse and transform data to ensure accuracy and adherence to defined standards.
  • Develop and implement data quality rules and procedures.
  • Implement automated data quality checking processes.
  • Take lead in certifying data coming through dashboards and reports.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and report on data health.
  • Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to identify and address data quality issues.
  • Document data quality processes and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date on data quality trends and best practices.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data quality analysis.
  • Proficient in SQL and using data manipulation tools.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
  • Python proficiency desired, but not essential.
  • Experience with data quality tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Airline/aviation experience would be fantastic, but not essential.

Contract Specifics

  • Contract Length: 6 months, with potential for extension(s).
  • Pay Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35).
  • Office Location: Airline’s HQ, west London.
  • Working Flex: 2-3 days per week in the office required.
