Job Purpose and Impact

The Cargill Bio Industrial (CBI) Product Safety Quality and Regulatory (PSQR) Regional Lead will provide regional support and prioritization of activities of the PSQR team. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of PSQR leaders supporting CBI operations. You will serve as a portfolio manager and product line expert for products and projects for our customers, influencing the proper compliance, and manufacture of products to correct specifications. You will support and lead your team to ensure strategic partnership with the business, product group and location strategies from a product safety, quality, and regulatory perspective, to achieve business goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead complex processes to resolve unique challenges related to quality and product safety and proactively and independently, improve professional competency related to product safety and quality specialty areas.

  • Lead and guide the region to ensure product safety, quality and regulatory compliance and champion a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

  • Partner collaboratively with senior business stakeholders to proactively find solutions to new, complex problems and opportunities.

  • Apply broad and deep knowledge across various product lines, serving as a thought leader in developing new long- range approaches to product safety and quality assurance including testing methodology, systems and programs across the product groups

  • Represent the department in key projects, joint ventures, or acquisitions to ensure solutions, standards or controls are deployed according to the identified risks and collaborate with senior business partners to develop mitigation strategies for identified risks.

  • Advise on global product quality standards across regions and assets, collaborating with regional teams to align on documentation, processes, and procedures across regions.

  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching, and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance, development, and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This Position will work from a remote home-office location or CBI location anywhere in the United States

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

  • Experience in the industrial chemical products space

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Advanced knowledge of product laws and regulations

  • Intermediate knowledge of quality standards and tools to enhance product safety and quality continuous improvement.

  • Advanced knowledge of policies and standards regarding product safety and quality

  • Experience applying a structured approach to planning, prioritization, administering and completing projects successfully.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the Beauty or Personal Care products industry

  • Previous supervisory experience

Compensation Data

The expected salary for this position is $130,000-$155,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
