Good storytelling starts with great listening. At Audible, that means each role and every project has our audience in mind. Because the same people who design, develop, and deploy our products also happen to use them. To us, that speaks volumes.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Associate Manager, Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX) Community Relations will work to enhance the global presence of ACX, our creator marketplace that connects rightsholders with performers and producers to create their audiobooks. The ACX Community Relations team will work with internal stakeholders as well as the “indie” creator community – to enhance existing and create new policies and programs that serve the ACX community.

  • Act as the trusted voice of the ACX community to our leaders in Product, Anti-Fraud, Legal, Marketing, Operations, Customer Care, and other internal Audible teams.
  • Craft the strategy for engagement with the ACX community through digital and in person forums in partnership with Marketing.
  • Coordinate projects across these groups to ensure our community guidelines are upheld.
  • Serve as a key decision maker for escalations from various parts of the business that impact the ACX community.
  • Draft business critical communications for internal purposes and for the ACX community.
  • Analyze and leverage data to drive and inform critical business decisions and recommendations to Audible leadership.
  • Travel occasionally to represent ACX at in-person conferences and lead ACX focused sessions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • 3+ years of experience in working with creators, publishers or literary agencies, preferably within audio, television, film, music or other comparable area.
  • Has been responsible for the management of a community of creators in the digital media space.
  • Strong acumen with Microsoft office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and fluency using business data to make critical business decisions and recommendations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage projects and competing priorities.
  • Ability to create new procedures and workflow and justify why they should be created.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in high-energy, rapidly evolving organization.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Comfortable speaking publicly at conferences.
  • Broad awareness of popular culture across media types.
  • A positive attitude and a sense of humor.
  • Strong familiarity with ACX, our creators, and our community.
  • Passionate about storytelling and the power of spoken word.
