Position: Manager III, Tech Program Mgt

Location: Seattle, WA

Multiple Positions Available:

1. Build and lead a team of highly performant Technical Program Managers (TPM’s) that will help deliver critical innovation efforts in the electrical, mechanical and controls space for Amazon’s global Data Center Engineering Infrastructure.

2. Manage ambiguity and energize the team to stay focused on short-term and long-term goals.

3. Earn trust through regular communication with senior management on strategic direction of portfolios and programs, key wins, risks, and change control.

4. Lead organizational change management through strong leadership and the ability to effectively shepherd multi-disciplinary engineering teams to make high impact, business critical decisions.

5. Own the metrics for team success. Define, measure, and report on these metrics.

6. Find creative solutions to complex technical and organizational challenges.

7. Approximately 20% domestic or international travel required.

8. Telecommuting is permissible.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Management, Engineering, or related discipline and 3 years of experience in project or program management.

In the alternative, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Management, Engineering, or related discipline followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project or program management.

Experience must include:

1. 3 years of direct or indirect people management experience

2. 3 years of experience working with engineering teams to deliver projects requiring coordination between hardware, software teams and operations

3. 3 years of experience coordinating and driving release schedules
