Job Title: Senior Vice President, Data & Analytics

A little bit about our team:

The Warner Music Group Data & Analytics team is driving our strategic and operational analytics efforts focused on empowering and helping build the Digital Music Company of the Future

The Data & Analytics team stewards operational and performance metrics across our business domains, data management for our portfolio, as well as business-critical metadata operations. We are focused on establishing a strong data culture through transformation and empowerment of our global analytics communities. In addition, we strive to establish data as “currency” for our enterprise and foster a framework for trust in data.

Through cross-portolio engagement and collaboration, we are focused on defining and executing a data and analytics strategy that aligns with our strategic objectives.

Your role:

Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, the SVP Data & Analytics is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and delivery of our global data & analytics efforts. Through direct stewardship of business intelligence, reporting, and analytics teams, as well as partnering across the portfolio with our data teams, business partners, global analytics community, technology and transformation teams, you will be responsible for executing and delivering on our data and analytics strategies.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Drive strong partnerships across the portfolio to improve the value of our organizational data and analytics capabilities, and overall data culture and data literacy
  • Work with the data governance, data science, data operations, and global analyst communities to drive collaboration around analytics solutions
  • Partner with our business operations teams to anticipate, identify, and facilitate solutions and approaches to unlocking insights that drive our vision and strategies forward.
  • Build class-leading analytics solutions that help drive intelligence, engagement, and integration across our product domains and services.
  • Build and lead effective internal, partner, and vendor teams focused on iterative, scalable, and sustainable analytics solutions
  • Drive the strategy and implementation of new analytics approaches and methodologies, related tools and services, and strategic partnerships.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities for operational excellence in the areas of advanced analytics and machine learning.
  • Help analytics teams establish development goals, align goals with business priorities, and evaluate success
  • Understand interlinkages of product and technology strategies ‘big picture’ for the portfolio and enables the teams to achieve desired results

About you:

  • Minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience in progressively seasoned leadership leading data, analytics, business intelligence, etc., teams in large scale/distributed and global environments.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience leading distributed analytics teams working across all disciplines of data including analytics, data science and data engineering
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in digital advertising, marketing, and audience engagement solutions
  • Extensive experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, and insights development and delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and distributed enterprise data environments including data lake, data mesh, and data fabric architectures.
  • Experience building data and analytics teams
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, credibility to C Suite levels
  • Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize diverse elements of complex analytics projects to drive optimal outcomes
  • Ability to excel in a large, matrix environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated through experience and results
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, active listening and leadership skills

We’d love it if you also had:

  • Working knowledge of the music and/or larger media ecosystem.
  • Working knowledge of consumer data platforms (CDP), audience segmentation and analytics, marketing automation, and related domain solutions
  • Experience managing the compliance requirements and programs required to protect sensitive data, this includes SOX, GDPR, CCPA, BCP/DR, etc.
  • Experience collaborating with teams comprised of both on-shore and off-shore models is recommended
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and their expectations
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with team members and customers
