About the role:

Wallbox is looking for a Communications and PR Manager to develop and implement Wallbox’s Communications and PR strategy in the US and Canada, build its reputation, and ensure adequate coverage in tech, trade, business, and mainstream media.

You will draft and oversee the creation of PR content (media release, social media,…) and forge relationships with journalists, key influencers, and event organizers. You will build Wallbox’s brand and reputation in North America as a leader and innovator in energy management and the electric vehicle charging sector. This position can be based in either New York City NY, Mountain View CA, or Dallas TX.

You will:

  • Develop a PR plan including goals, strategy, tactics and budget for North America (with a focus on the US in the first place) in cooperation with the local and central teams.
  • Develop and execute PR campaigns. Research and create stories for consumer, trade and business/financial media
  • Coordinate Public Relations and communications calendar across all channels
  • Manage media relationships (online and offline). Handle incoming media requests and prepare appropriate responses in collaboration with the relevant teams. Monitor media landscape to see where Wallbox’s contribution can fit in
  • Be responsible for Wallbox’s news announcements, including writing, distributing and pitching news and press releases (product launches, partnerships, key corporate and business announcements… etc.)
  • Secure and coordinate interviews and public speaking opportunities. Prepare spokespeople.
  • Manage PR agency in the US
  • Manage PR events and support events in collaboration with Marketing
  • Negotiate paid media opportunities (sponsored articles, affiliate partnerships, etc.)
  • Assist with influencer management: build influencer database, manage product-seeding and foster long-term relationships
  • Work closely with our Marketing and Public Affairs and Public Policy team and consultants to build our reputation in North America
  • Manage the response to ‘crisis’ situations

Requirements

Must have:

  • Preferred educational background in communication or journalism
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in consumer, business or corporate communications and 10 years of total work experience.
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful PR campaigns
  • Knowledge and experience working with different types of media and journalists (business, trade, consumer, tech, finance…)
  • Experience working for a listed company is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of how to use owned and earned channels to proactively drive and shape our narrative.
  • Excellent writing skills, a strong storyteller.
  • Previous experience and interest in managing PR for a company in technology, automotive, or sustainability is a plus.
  • Passion for technology, and comfortable communicating about technical industries
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in different stages at the same time.
  • Familiar with KPIs and fast-moving environments

The starting salary for this opportunity ranges from $126,000 – $166,000
