As a Senior Software Engineer on the Enterprise Information Security team you will be responsible for development and delivery of new integrations, features, rules, workflows, and tasks on the SailPoint IIQ and Identity Now platform. In this role, you will install, customize, configure, and support identity provisioning and governance tools. This position will also require you to communicate between business customers, business analysts, systems analysts, and IT software engineers To be successful, you should be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a highly dynamic environment. You will need to be a self=starter who is self-managed and eager to learn new technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop IDM application using SailPoint and Java, participate in requirement Analysis and Design, Perform Unit testing, provide 3rd Level Support for SailPoint applications

  • Responsible for Development and Delivery of new Integrations, features, Rules, Workflows, Tasks, need and functionality on the SailPoint IIQ & Identity Now platform

  • Develop documentation, workflow diagrams, and test scripts

  • Champion problem management best practices, drive root cause resolution & reduce future incidents

  • Participates in production support on-call rotation, especially on the most complex issues

  • Collaborates with vendor on root cause and helps drive mitigation or elimination actions for future incidents

  • Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and effectively present them to decision makers

  • Build product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders

  • Create innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business and to improve the overall health and reliability of the applications

  • Define coding standards and best practices

  • Coach and mentor other developers in the team

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in software engineering

  • 4+ years of experience with Java

  • 2+ years of experience developing applications in React including component design and state management for specific use cases

  • 2+ years of experience designing and implementing APIs (SOAP/ REST)

  • 2+ years of Agile delivery experience

  • 2+ years of experience working on an agile team

  • 2+ years of experience development/maintaining CI/CD pipelines

  • 2+ years of cloud experience with Azure

  • 6 + months of architecture framework and working in a small team

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain government clearance if needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience delivering software using Agile/Scrum methodology

  • Solid working knowledge of Java and the ability to write scripts

  • Experience in Git, Azure

  • Experience working in a DevOps model

  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Proven solid communication and problem solving skills

  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment while maintaining adherence to standards and best practices

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
