Our Technology Consulting EHR Services practice continues to grow our comprehensive services capability using the collective expertise of our clinical, consulting, delivery, technology, and operations teams. EHR Services Training Coordinator will work on varying projects within our practice. The Training Coordinator will scope, plan, oversee and create all training documents for various products and their associated modules. The Training Coordinator will train the product for both internal and external users. Our Training Coordinator shall demonstrate knowledge of core technology and training principles and provide exemplary customer service that continues to position Optum as a center of excellence for technology consulting and related EHR services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development of competency-based educational activities, using adult learning principles

  • Maintains/supports database of completed education, onboarding, at-the-elbow adoption interactions, and competencies

  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures that are required to implement and maintain the clinical applications

  • Reviews testing scripts and validates build to ensure clinical relevancy

  • Participates in end-user validation activities

  • Perform training and routine maintenance of training accounts, user guides, training scripts, and periodic updates will also be expected

  • Communicate effectively and accurately in writing and verbally to prospects, members, and other staff

  • Designs, writes, creates, and maintains curriculum and adoption materials, including multimedia deliverables, to be used with in-person and virtual instructor-led training, self-paced online learning, and other system adoption initiatives for a variety of audiences as assigned

  • Supports, designs, and maintains technical training environments needed for education delivery including trouble-shoot issues related to scenarios and system training environments

  • Collaborates regularly and closely with product application and build analysts and teams so that educational design is consistent with workflows and product build

  • Trains, mentors, and communicates with other trainers

  • Develops and analyzes assessments, evaluations, and other feedback mechanisms to determine the effectiveness of education deliverables and delivery, providing recommendations for and/or instituting improvements in accordance with best practice and adult learning theory to achieve education goals

  • Supports role mapping and training logistical planning

  • Develops communication related to education efforts for deployments, upgrades, optimizations and other system changes as assignedMaintains understanding of workflows, policies, procedures, and constraints in core clinical or business area(s) of responsibility

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with EHR clinical software product training

  • 3+ years of training experience, creating, and delivering material

  • Proven relationship management skills in complex situations

  • Demonstrated consultative and collaborative style with the ability partner cross-functionally

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of clinical experience e.g., RN, RT, MA

  • Education background

  • Proven in-depth knowledge of EHR and the full implementation lifecycle of an electronic medical record application from conception through development into production

  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and influence others, including working across different groups to drive commonality and reusability in solutioning

  • In-depth knowledge of EHR and the full implementation lifecycle

  • Teamwork and Collaboration. Consultative and collaborative style with demonstrated ability with cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrates a solid ability to build partnerships and influence others. Work across team, group, and business boundaries to drive commonality and reusability in solution to real-world problems

  • Demonstrate solid relationship management skills and ability to handle challenging interpersonal situations

  • Required to complete and maintain Epic certification in module supporting

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
