Our client is searching for a HL7 Interface Developer for a long-term, multi-year contract that can be worked remotely.

All candidates must work directly for TEKsystems on a W2 basis and no sponsorship is available

Job Description

The Interface Developer is responsible for developing and implementing applications programs/systems, writing maintenance and enhancement programs, and providing technical assistance to staff. Client uses NextGen as their backend process which uses Mirth Connect for all the interfaces from the data sources to them. This position will be responsible for the maintenance of the current interfaces, building new interfaces, testing the interfaces, and validating that the data received is what is being ingested into the NextGen/Mirth Clinical Data Repository (Mirth Results). The Interfaces will handle all HL7 messages (V2 – ADT, RAD, LAB, etc.; V3 – CCD(C32) and CCDA; along with FHIR (JSON)). The language the interfaces use is JavaScript, and the messages are sometimes converted into xml for consumption.

Duties

• Develop healthcare data interfaces to normalize exchange data for the health information exchange

• Develop and deploy data interfaces that facilitate formats such as Health Language 7 (HL7), Consolidated Clinical Data Architecture (CDA/CCDA) and other types of healthcare data interfaces via Mirth applications such as Connect, Results and Match.

• Manage implementation of the interfaces between electronic medical record/hospital information system (EMR/HIS) vendor, while developing and designing system integration for participants from definition phase through implementation.

• Develop detailed test plans and execute test to verify interfaces satisfy design requirements, and updated scripts based on results.

• Validate data between sending participant messages and Mirth as well as between internal systems and Mirth.

• Collaborate with internal and external project team(s) and other technical subject matter experts on technical work and scope of project, and proactively communicated plans and progress to coworkers, customers, and management.
