Team:

The Product Security Team is chartered with facilitating product attestation and third-party security reviews of the ServiceNow Platform, applications, and products.

Role:

This role will support third-party security reviews and penetration tests to identify cybersecurity risks. In addition, you will help build positive relationships with Engineering, Enterprise Security, and customer-facing teams as a core tenant of the role and the team.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Coordinate security assessments and penetration testing activities between third-party vendors, engineering teams, security operations, and other stakeholders
  • Assist in supporting the US Federal compliance program with third-party penetration testing
  • Identify cybersecurity risks with our ServiceNow platform and applications
  • Document findings and summarize risks
  • Coordinate with system/application owners to remediate vulnerabilities
  • Recommend best-practice security procedures, standards, and guidelines
  • Develop and run reports using relevant security metrics data
  • Develop and maintain security dashboards and scorecards
  • Work with different ServiceNow security teams to help drive security improvements within the platform

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • 2+ years of application/product security experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Security or equivalent work experience
  • Strong understanding of web and mobile application security assessment techniques, threat modeling, and general software development practices
  • Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of Security Verification Standards
  • OWASP Application Security Verification Standards
  • Basic understanding of network-level security assessment techniques and vulnerabilities
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud Hosting Platforms (AWS, AZURE, GCP), Cloud Operations, and Cloud Computing
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Basic programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, JS, or Java
  • Basic understanding of Internet security protocols and technologies
  • Hands-on experience conducting web/mobile applications, or network-based penetration testing
  • Experience interacting with FedRamp JAB/PMO and DISA
