Job Summary:

This position is for a Financial Analyst, FP&A to support the RTS Rates team. The selected candidate can expect to gain valuable business level experience and insight into how strategic management decisions impact the performance of the company. This position entails creation, review, and analysis of financial data relating to overhead expenses and rates, and their impact on sales and margin. Additionally, the Rates team regularly works with experts in the Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgets, and Accounting organizations.

This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

What You Will Do:

Job responsibilities will include supporting certain pools in the Rate Structure. For those pools, responsibilities may include preparation and/or support of:

• Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) updates

• Calendarized base and expense plans

• Monthly DCMA Reports

• Monthly base and expense forecasts & variance analysis

• Partnering with Accounting for annual incurred cost submissions

• Preparation of relevant 1030 inputs for submission to Corporate

• Supporting special projects, as required

  Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Business or a related field.

• Typically requires 2+ years of prior relevant financial experience.

• Experience with Rates, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and/or Cost or Government Accounting.

• U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

  Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with RPlan, SAP APEX, BW and BPS

• Excellent critical thinking abilities.

• Proficient computer skills in MS Office – Excel, PP and Word

• Proactive, creative, and innovative in solving problems and issues.

• Ability to plan and manage daily tasks, meet deadlines, analyze, provide results and recommend solutions to various levels of organization.

• Shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis

• Ability to Work under minimal supervision. Participates in determining goals of assignment plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing targets after training period

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD – 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
