Position Description:
We currently have an opening for a Project Management, Associate. The Project Management, Associate will provide management support on projects of low to medium complexity, both client-facing and internal. Supports all aspects of project management, including day-to-day project activities, resource and schedule management, cost and budget management, risk management, and coordination. Analyzes appropriate schedule and financial data and coordinates with project teams to ensure accurate financial and project performance reports. May contribute to process-oriented tasks on projects. Works closely with the Enterprise Project Management Office to execute administrative and operational duties.

  • Core Responsibilities:*

• Manage projects of low to moderate complexity, ensuring they are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
• Support the management of low to medium complexity projects through the full life cycle by tracking components of project operations including scope, schedule, and budget
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, such as a project plan, meeting minutes, decision and risk logs, and project deliverables
• Develop and maintain project schedules, which include all project activities and resource assignments
• Communicate with relevant internal and external stakeholders, such as cross-functional project teams, subcontractors, consultants, business unit leadership, and clients
• Support project execution based on client priorities and project plan
• Conduct routine cost, resource, scope, and schedule analyses using key performance metrics
• Report and escalate project risks and issues to leadership as necessary
• Analyze and report on project performance, providing stakeholders with regular status updates
• Coordinate across departments to ensure all aspects of projects conform to contractual requirements
• Assist the Enterprise Project Management Office with administrative and operational duties, such as supporting project initiation, developing project schedules, conducting quality assessments of project schedules, and documenting project management process
• Actively support the advancement of organizational diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, and apply diversity, equity and inclusion lens across job responsibilities
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed

Position Requirements:

Functional Knowledge (Preferred):
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Project
• Possess excellent organizational, planning, and numerical skills
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
• Awareness of the project management lifecycle with an interest in obtaining PMP certification
• Interest in government contracting and/or management of government contracts for quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and technological innovation

Education minimum requirement:
• A BA/BS degree in a relevant field (business, economics, management, operations, or public policy)

Years of Relevant Experience:
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a project management environment, preferably related to business analysis, government program operations, management consulting, or research
• A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be substituted for the above requirements

Available Locations: Princeton, NJ; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; Remote

This position offers an anticipated base salary of $50,000 – $60,000. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
