Job description: M9 Solutions is seeking a Java Architect/Developer to work remotely on a government contract for a client located in Arlington, VA. An active Public Trust level clearance is required. US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in architectural and software development activities.
  • Recognize the production and non-production application issues.
  • Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency and deployed to a containerized environment.
  • Analyze user requirements to define business objectives.
  • Work with various teams and stakeholders for maintaining traceability for all vital software changes to make sure that impact to configuration management data is properly handled.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
  • An active Public Trust Level clearance is required.
  • 5 – 8+ years of collective experience developing applications in Java.
  • Previous work experience as a software or Java Architect.
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture.
  • Experience working with REST Services using JAX-RS API.
  • JUnit experience is required.
  • Experience with OpenAPI 3.0 / Swagger configuration.
  • Experience with Json and annotation.
  • Experience with detailed design documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with Web API programming.
  • DevOps Tools (Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with Hibernate.

Full-Time Employee Compensation

  • Salary Range – $60,000/year – $180,000/year
  • Exact compensation may vary based on project, skills, experience, market, and location.
