Job Description
Provide Quality Leadership for the ARRW Hypersonic program at the Courtland, Al MFC facility. The candidate will be responsible for leadership of Quality Engineers and Inspectors assigned to ARRW. This position is also a working leader position where the selected candidate will be responsible to perform quality engineering tasks and responsibilities as necessary to support mission requirements. Responsibilities may include:
Coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, and recognition / disciplinary actions.
Manages resource allocation, work assignments and establishing / maintaining an effective business rhythm.
Communicates quality requirements concerns and expectations.
Effectively communicates with government customer.
Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes.
Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met.
Ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements.
Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within ARRW.
Ensures effective implementation of a metrics program and actively address adverse trends.
Ensures product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.
Basic Qualifications
Degree at the Bachelor level or above
Must have a Secret Security Clearance with an investigation inside the last 5 years
Working knowledge of Quality Engineering methods, processes, and tools
Experience with AS9100 Quality systems
Experience with reading and interpreting drawings and standards
Experience with using various inspection measurement tools
**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired skills
Quality Engineering experience in an ordinance manufacturing environment

Experience in Six-Sigma Green Belt techniques and statistical process control methods

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
