Job description: What You’ll Do as a Synthesizer Sound Designer – Modern Trap and Hip Hop:

In this freelance role, you will create presets and audio sample content for some of the world’s most critically acclaimed musical instruments, music creation software, and performance tools.

To create this content, you must understand synthesis and sampling in their many forms and know what is happening musically in Hip Hop and Trap music right now. Ideally, you’ll have your “ear to the ground” and speak to music trends and how inMusic products can help music-makers create cutting-edge music for their respective genres.

You will be required to create presets and audio sample content for various projects, including new and upcoming inMusic hardware and software product releases. You’ll also be working with inMusic’s international team of product developers on a regular basis to help identify improvements to workflows, features, and sound ahead of product releases.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Professional experience in one of the following fields:
  • Beat making with some professional releases
  • Synthesizer/virtual Instrument sound design
  • Sample library content creation
  • In-depth knowledge of synthesis and sampling
  • A feel for modern Trap, Hip Hop and related genres and a knowledge of their histories
  • A reasonable level of music production skills
  • Practical understanding of macOS or Windows operating systems
  • Fluent spoken and good written English
  • Commitment to high quality results
  • Self-motivation
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to take responsibility
  • Willingness to collaborate with teams

Nice-to-haves:

  • Studio/music production experience
  • Musical instrument knowledge
