Description

We are looking for a rock star Senior Consultant Level Instructional Designer to join our growing Learning and Development team with a focus on developing innovative learning solutions and thought leadership in a client-facing role. This person will play a key role in the design and development of highly effective blended learning solutions for custom role-based learning and certification projects. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled in the use of Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise). The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.

Senior Learning Consultant/ Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for the following:

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis to define Training Strategy & Curricula for assigned projects
  • Lead end-to-end lifecycle course development for role-based training using a blended learning model (web-based Training (WBT), Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Structured On-The-Job training (OJT), etc.)
  • Apply time management and project management skills to deliver learning solutions on time and on budget
  • Provide team leadership and instructional design skills coaching to effectively lead junior training development team members and offshore team members through the process of developing effective learning solutions
  • Develop training materials (e.g., eLearning courses, job role simulations, system simulations, quick reference guides, and work instructions) applying expertise and thought leadership regarding instructional design methodology
  • Ensure quality and design standards defined and followed to meet client requirements and exceed client expectations
  • Promptly identify issues or risks to the Training Lead and recommend solutions

Requirements

  • This position is remote based in the US
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree and work experience in a corporate or consulting role
  • Over five (5) years of experience designing and delivering instructional courses
  • End-to-end lifecycle course development for role-based training using a blended learning model (web-based Training (WBT), Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (ILT), etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Instructional Design methodology, thought leadership, innovative thinking, and adult learning principles in a learning development project (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
  • 4+ years of Project Management experience (waterfall and agile experience desired)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team of Instructional Designers and Training Developers for a Learning & Development (L&D) project, providing oversight, leadership, feedback, coaching support, and quality assurance (QA) for team deliverables (4+ years)
  • 5+ years of corporate experience
  • 4+ years of consulting experience (extensive client-facing experience)
  • 3+ year’s experience with system training development tools (SAP Enable Now, Assima Train, etc.)
  • 4+ year’s experience with Articulate Storyline eLearning development tool
  • 3+ year’s experience with Articulate Rise
  • Demonstrated ability to:
  • Learn, self-manage, be resourceful, and ask powerful questions when interfacing with clients
  • Manage multiple tasks and balance priorities
  • Accomplish work under tight timelines and manage stress levels
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members (written and oral)
  • Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Acquire technical skills quickly and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work output
