The position is for Atlanta or can work remotely with 25% travel – mainly to Atlanta and Louisiana

The Director of Information Technology (IT) will manage the company s Information Technology function including IT vendor management, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business application support and data management. They will also oversee the development, delivery, and execution of projects and initiatives with their sales teams across the country.

You will lead and engage cross-functional teams and third parties, and ensure that all projects and activities align with the mission and strategy of the business.

IT Director Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall Information Technology function to ensure the needs of employees, other team members, and important business partners are met through the effective deployment of technologies and business processes.
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operation in the event of emergency situations and data loss.

  • Manage relationships with key third-party vendors.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and third-party service providers in the delivery and execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot daily issues with the sales team and other team members in the field utilizing iPads and across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain a good knowledge of all core business activities across the entire organization to act as project lead on important technology initiatives.
  • Aecurity of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
  • Serve as the point person for any new software integrations.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations

IT Director Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing an IT department; 10+ years as a hands-on professional/manager
  • Actual experience building the IT function and team from a small company to a medium to a large-sized company; can scale
  • Strong communication skills, coaching, and change management skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data management and quantitative analysis including data warehouse technology
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven high level of accuracy and timeliness in delivering results.
  • Ability to evaluate company needs and select appropriate technologies based on effectiveness and cost considerations.
  • Display a strong teamwork orientation and be a mentor who models high-performance skills and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate commitment to superior customer service and operational excellence.
  • Exhibit strategic thinking and evolve the organization s use of technology to deliver outcomes.
  • Experienced working with, evaluating, and managing third-party IT vendors.
  • Experienced retail industry with a direct customer (consumer) facing focus an asset
  • Knowledge and exposure to current information system architectures and emerging technologies
  • A hands-on technologist comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, flat, and empowered organization.

IT Director Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understand business, processes, and key stakeholders, in order to evaluate current IT systems, processes and procedures.
  • Make recommendations for creating efficiencies and introducing new technology solutions.
  • Establish a relationship of trust and accountability with leadership and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Own the project management of key initiatives related to IT and Operations.
  • Define a technology roadmap that will drive change management and leverage technology to maximize the effectiveness of the organization.
  • Project management timeline that will prioritize projects and initiatives in accordance with the organization s business goals.
  • Manage existing vendors and ensure consistency in the delivery of their services.

Location Requirement: (Atlanta) Candidate will work full time out of his/her home and minimal travel is required.

Compensation: The candidate will have a base salary competitive to market rates and will have a very competitive bonus structure directly tied to specific performance goals and increasing the profits and overall growth of the stores.


Expected salary: $150000 – 175000 per year
