Web Benefits Design is hiring a COBRA Call Center Representative to provide ongoing telephonic support to our clients’ employees. This role will maintain and grow the client relationship by answering general benefits questions, providing telephonic enrollment support, and assisting with outbound follow-up calls.

As a Call Center Representative, you will:

  • Answer the employee benefits hotline and discuss topics including but not limited to: telephonic enrollment, technical support, benefit questions, comparison of benefits, explanation of costs, confirmation of coverage, HSA, HRA and FSA explanations, open enrollment, COBRA, etc.
  • Use proper telephone etiquette for every call (calls are recorded and reviewed for accuracy).
  • Follow best practices for: the verification of employee information; asking probing questions to accurately assist the employee; using appropriate resources to properly solve problems; and setting follow up expectations to caller.
  • Build HR Access Portal knowledge to: telephonically enroll employees; properly use the communication module to log calls and documents; edit/update employee details; view/update pending elections; view, run and create billing reports and employee reports; update communications library template emails; view/create bulk emails; anticipate issue or trends; process terminations; enter new hires.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and accurately detail to the IT team for resolution.
  • Assist with the COBRA Hotline by taking payment over the phone and enrolling COBRA participants.

The Call Center Representative position is well-suited for you if:

  • You easily manage and resolve issues for callers with varying backgrounds and knowledge.
  • You understand the basics of COBRA.
  • You have attention to detail and commitment to 100% data entry accuracy.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are friendly, polite, and professional while engaging with callers.
  • You can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • You solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only some standardization exists.
  • You strive to meet or exceed monthly call metrics

Qualified candidates will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree is preferred.
  • Up to three years in a customer service/call center or benefits administration role.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Relocation is not available for this position.

Currently, all CNO Financial Group offices are closed due to the ongoing pandemic. Upon reopening, we will be pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Carmel, Chicago, or Philadelphia) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
