As a member of the National Geographic ELT US & Canada sales team, the ELL Educational Specialist, K12 will be responsible for growing National Geographic Learning ELT market share by coordinating sales efforts and ensuring NGL’s competitiveness in adoption decisions and RFPs. The K12 Educational Specialist will also be responsible for providing ongoing support and service for high value key accounts after the deal has closed.
What you’ll do here
Collaborate with ELT K12 team including Sales Director, Field Engagement team and Key Accounts team as well as the National Geographic Learning School sales and marketing team to identify targets on which to focus efforts.
Join forces with NGL Secondary Learning Consultants to develop and implement a successful strategy for winning new adoptions in the growing K12 market for English Language Learning material.
Develop product and digital expertise to participate and/or lead customer meetings and sales discussions to help close new business and retain existing business.
Analyze and monitor sales history and market trends to identify territories/districts with growth potential.
Track high-value, near and longer-term sale opportunities for state, district, or individual adoptions in K12.
Provide support during the Back-to-School Season in training and follow-up support.
Help troubleshoot problems with customer orders, digital platform and other related issues.
Identify and research key competitors to build our competitive intelligence.
Provide overall team support in preparing presentations, sales reports and customer specific collateral.
Skills You Will Need Here:
At least two (2) years of successful K12 sales (or customer interaction) experience required
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Driven to succeed
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with both external and internal customers
Strong presentation skills
Highly effective utilizing technology for product demonstration purposes and customer outreach and experience working with digital sales products/applications preferred
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Highly proficient in PC and Microsoft Office applications
BA or BS degree strongly preferred
Experience working with digital sales products/applications preferred

Base Pay Range
The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
$18.00 – $29.00 USD
