About this role:

Performs duties associated with the collections of outstanding tenant A/R including the tracking of outstanding A/R, communication with tenants and reporting to accounting and/or clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Interacts with tenants to ensure timely and accurate payment of all amounts due to the terms of lease agreements.

  • Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.

  • Investigates and resolves issues related to incorrect billings and any disputes raised by the tenant.

  • Reconciles all outstanding accounts to ensure A/R balances represent an accurate position of tenant receivables.

  • Accurately raises disputes pursuant to the company’s policies and procedures.

  • Seeks out and communicates opportunities to continuously improve, standardize and streamline A/R administrative and collections processes.

  • Communicates with accounting and property management on pending bankruptcies and other collections matters that should be raised.

  • Achieves assigned A/R targets and proactively communicate status with management, as appropriate.

  • Prepares and distributes the appropriate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual A/R reports for the assigned portfolio.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience (GED) required. Associates degree with concentration in Business or Accounting/Finance preferred.

  • Minimum of two years experience in collections role, Business-to-Business collection’s experience preferred.

The salary for the Collections Coordinator position is $20.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
