Job description: Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the level of quality and accuracy for all marketing deliverables within assigned division(s), and across divisions.
  • Initiative to advance in professional career and ability to regularly increase production and oversight
  • Manage the entire pursuit process from early strategy through proposal and pursuit interview while upholding the standards set forth in the Brasfield & Gorrie brand manual, and debriefing of efforts and sharing lessons learned with marketing team
  • Write/edit non-technical sections of brochures, proposals and presentations
  • Work with Regional Operations and Business Development to support marketing strategy, including client meetings, tradeshows, special events
  • Partner with Corporate Communications on public relations events and/or milestones involving designated divisions or market sector, provide them with background information, and assist with approval process with project teams and clients
  • Identify, recommend, and lead the implementation of technical and creative process improvements
  • Represent the company at industry and community events during and after hours
  • Manage internal projects, office or division events, presentations, and award submittals
  • Consistently participate in corporate or department initiates working groups and contribute time and ideas.
  • Lead department initiative(s) per the VP of Marketing or Corporate Marketing Director’s request by helping create, roll out, and maintain new marketing processes
  • Remain current with competitor intelligence by reviewing competitor proposals when possible, attending trade shows, reviewing websites, and reading trade publications such as ENR
  • Maintain project, employee information and project photography utilizing Deltek and Open Asset
  • Hold an annual leadership position on local SMPS chapter board, industry-related organization or non-profit organization
  • Champion change process and motivate others to embrace change
  • Champion Brasfield & Gorrie company culture
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to grow marketing team members

Education – Skills – Knowledge – Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field required
  • 8-10 years of prior marketing experience in the AEC industry or relevant experience in similar field with 2-3 years of management experience preferred
  • Society for Marketing Professional Services CPSM Certification recommended
  • High proficiency in desktop publishing, presentation and other marketing related software, including Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Deltek, Salesforce, Prezi, and OpenAsset
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • Skilled in writing, proofreading and editing
  • Excellent time management, teamwork, and organization skills
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure with ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Understanding of the time sensitive nature of marketing events, proposals and interviews
  • Displays commitment to support overall efforts of the marketing group with the expectation that additional hours may be required
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Displays respect in working with others and ability to create trusting relationships
  • Experience with leading and mentoring others
  • Broad understanding of construction industry; Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals
