Job Description

One of our clients in Virginia Beach , Virginia is looking for an Oracle E-Business Suite SME with the following skills and experience:
Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite HR modules, preferably with a focus on performance management, and Oracle Advanced Benefits (OAB) functional/technical experience.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Release 12.2, particularly in Oracle Public Sector HR and OAB.
  • Strong configuration and design skills, including expertise with fast formulas, APIs, and standard tables.
  • Understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure coordination requirements for implementing changes across environments, including production.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop system requirements, define procedures, and implement practical, sustainable business solutions.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and Unix.
  • Experience with APIs, inbound and outbound interfaces, workflows, self-service personalization’s, and alerts.
  • Experience with data loads via concurrent programs and ad hoc scripts.
  • Familiarity with Discoverer reports, BI Publisher reports, and system admin/application developer modules and configuration changes.
  • Experience in working with Oracle via Service Requests (SRs) and Request for Changes (RFCs) to resolve support issues.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management software for schedule and time tracking.
  • Familiarity with Collective Bargaining configuration.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • As a senior-level Oracle E-Business Suite expert, you will:
  • Provide remote support for HR and Advanced Benefits modules, as well as other special projects.
  • Collaborate with City staff on solutions and provide technical assistance for programming and configuration.
  • Research issues, identify resolutions, and make configuration changes as needed.
  • Log/update service requests in the city’s ticketing system and Oracle Support.
  • Work on special projects such as creating requirement documents for interfaces, Benefits Fast Formulas, and Life Event configurations.

  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to prepare and present oral and written reports effectively.
