Job summary

The Fashion Innovation Team is looking for a high-performing, experienced Sr. Product Manager to lead our selection scaling product roadmap for Virtual Try-On. You will be a thought leader – setting a strong North Star vision and working collaboratively with dedicated UX designers, engineering teams, and applied scientists to build and execute a roadmap informed by customer experience/need and an evolving technical landscape. You will build a bite-size, learning-oriented roadmap, leveraging early signals to inform prioritization and swarm resources around successful experiment. Leading a highly strategic and innovative product portfolio, you’ll lead the development and execution of a technical roadmap that includes Machine Learning (ML), Computer Vision (CV), 3D visualization, and other emerging technologies. You’ll interact regularly with senior leadership as you bring your vision to life. The successful candidate must be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with high attention to detail, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Key job responsibilities

● Articulate the long-term product vision, writing documents that work backwards from customer and stakeholder needs.

● Break-down the vision into new products and features to meet customers’ needs, maintaining an optimized roadmap, and making the right trade-offs to ensure delivery of a great CX.

● Partner effectively with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams, generating buy-in for the product vision, roadmap, and tactical implementation.

● Make hard and high-judgment trade-offs between performance, features, and speed-to-market, while mitigating risks.

● Help shape the roadmaps of the infrastructure layer to build solutions that scale into multiple categories globally, in order to support future innovations in the space.

● Break down large, complex projects into product milestone releases, developing detailed business requirements, user stories, and product specifications for each planned release.

● Work effectively with a full-stack engineering team, UX, program, and marketing partners to implement project stages, translating customer experiences into clearly defined requirements.

● Monitor project execution and ensure that the project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with target dates.

● Identify organizational best practices and implement mechanisms to raise the bar on organizational standards.

● Regularly report progress to a diverse audiences of stakeholders and senior executives.

A day in the life

In this role, you will drive the product strategy, vision, and delivery for a brand new Amazon product. You will interface with a diverse set of partner teams and will take on the most challenging product management opportunities with autonomy and extremely high visibility. You will work closely with user experience design, business development, marketing, program management, and engineering to bring new products to market. You will be challenged to get the best out of the creative and technical people that you work with daily. You will be constantly challenged with keeping the Amazon quality bar high, delighting as many customers as frequent as possible. High ownership, invention, dive deep, high judgment, and strong bias for action are essential to succeed in this role.

In Fashion Innovation Virtual Try-On, we’re creating fun, immersive try-on experiences so customers know how products fit and/or flatter before they ship. Our VTO portfolio includes a host of cutting-edge projects including augmented reality (Shoes and Eyewear), View in 3D, and fit-realistic try-on experiences using a virtual avatar. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

● Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent experience.

● 5+ years of experience in product management, with end-to-end product delivery and trade-off management.

● Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to guide teams through influence versus direct management.

● Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary with an owner’s mentality.

● Knowledgeable in technology development best practices (such as Agile), and product management methodology.

● Ability to think strategically while staying on top of tactical execution, delivering results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

● Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes. Proficiency in extracting data from SQL and writing queries.

● Strong project management skills to break down tasks, simplify roadmaps, establish owners and timelines.

● Experience in communicating and reporting up to executive level leadership.

● Ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail.

● Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

● MBA or Master’s degree.

● Superior analytical and quantitative skills; experience in data collection, model building, testing and validation.

● Experience leading large cross-functional initiatives that require interactions with a broad range of stakeholders and senior leaders.

● Familiarity with mobile technology, web services, and back-end application infrastructure.

● Proven ability to thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.

● Demonstrated ability to critique design wireframes and collaborate with design team to develop best in class customer experience.
